====== Olympics 2008 ====== [[Home]] - [[Schedule]] ====== Steal the Bacon ====== ===== Volunteers ===== ===== Participant Parameters ===== ===== Rules and Procedures ===== ===== Inventory Needs ===== for steal the bacon, there will be 6 people on each team, no more than that. 3 guys, 3 girls. if not possible, there must be an equal amount of guy/girls on the two teams competing at the time. 6 people on a team means a 6 sided die can represent the team. guys shall be even numbered and girls odd. (depending on the circumstances of the team arrangements, we can simply just assign each person a number) i have 6 dices (3 white, 3 red) so if two games are going at once, each game can get 3 dices to use to call. teams shall start about 15-20 ft away from the bacon. (i need to remember to get a line and a tape measure) the bacon shall be an insulation pipe (about 1 ft) that i will tape up. scoring shall be done as such: 2 points for bringing the bacon home. 1 point for tagging the opposing team before they do. (this of course being after they had touched the bacon and not before) the game will end when a team has reached the score of 20. HOWEVER! there's more. in the beginning of the game, one die will be rolled to determine who goes up. if after, about 15 secs if there's no action we roll the die again to add another person on the field. the referee may randomly choose to call 2-3 people right off the bat as well. after a team has reached 10 points, the numbers of the people on the team will be shuffled around randomly. this way you can be paired with a different person. once a team reaches 18-19 points, they MUST bring home the bacon in order to win the game. this is to prevent the possibility that a team got most/all their points from tagging the other person. also, because i just want it that way. it's a good way to end the game by bringing the bacon home. if you guys want to incorporate "passing" let me know so i may come up with rules for that. but for sure, i'm gonna make it so that if passing is allowed, the bacon is made so it can't be thrown that far. stuff like, you can pass it but if it drops on the floor you lose it for good. that way there is a risk involved if you wanna try to use the passing tactic. if i'm missing anything or if you have questions, let me know.
